Parents of cadets currently attending Hart Career Center (HCC) or Presser Performing Arts may visit those locations Friday morning to meet the teacher and see what the cadets are doing in class. After a brief visit, parents will need to leave HCC (they may not stay all morning). HCC is located at 905 N Wade St., Mexico, MO. Presser is located at 900 S. Jefferson St., Mexico, MO.

If your cadet is currently taking a class at William Woods University or Westminster College, he will attend that class as regularly scheduled on Friday. Parents may not attend these college classes.

Admissions Open House

MMA admissions representatives will host an open house for prospective cadets and their families to tour campus and learn how MMA’s 360° Education helps boys and young men reach their full potential.

Current families who refer a new cadet may earn up to a $2,000 tuition discount. You do not need to attend the open house with them to receive this discount. The referred cadet must be a new inquiry, enroll at MMA and complete at least one full year for the discount to apply. Please contact Admissions for more information.

Passing Through Ceremony, Review & Award Presentations

During the Passing Through Ceremony, new cadets who have completed Maroon Phase requirements will officially join the MMA Corps of Cadets. Family members will be invited to present the MMA hat brass their cadet has earned. The corps will march to the barracks immediately following.

Cadets may check out following the review at approximately 12:30 p.m. through their CLA in the barracks office. Authorized guardians must sign cadets out with their CLAs. Rooms and uniforms must pass inspection before departure. Overnights are approved for cadets not attending Maroon & Gold. Cadets attending Maroon & Gold must report back in uniform by 4:30 p.m.

Join us for a special evening celebrating the talent, growth and accomplishments of our cadets.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a relaxed social hour featuring cadet-created visual arts, along with spotlight vocal and musical performances beginning at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be called at 6:50 p.m. Following a banquet-style meal and desserts created by our cadets enrolled in culinary arts, enjoy an adaptation of "Dead Poets Society" by cadets enrolled in Presser Performing Arts classes and an exhibition by the Fusileers Drill Team. Cash bar available throughout the evening.

Maroon & Gold is more than a celebration. It reflects the Academy’s mission in action. Throughout the evening, you will see firsthand how MMA develops young men of character and discipline, equipping them to take command of their lives.

Cadets may attend with their families and check out with them following the event. Please complete checkout with your CLA.

Cadet Checkout Information

Checkouts are permitted on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please check in and out with your cadet’s CLA.

On Saturday, cadets may check out after the review, at approximately 12:30 p.m. Authorized guardians must sign their cadets out with their CLAs (room and uniform must pass inspection before leaving). Those attending the Maroon & Gold Gala must report back to campus by 4:30 p.m. Saturday, then may check out again after the event. Cadets not attending Maroon & Gold may check out after the military review and awards presentation Saturday and remain off campus until 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

All cadets must return to campus and report to their CLA no later than 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Please check in and out with your cadet’s CLA.
