Commencement Ceremony

Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Centennial Gymtorium

The commencement address will be delivered, and awards and diplomas will be presented. Immediately following commencement, graduates will move to Front Campus for the traditional Final Formation.

Final Formation

Saturday, May 17, 2025, immediately following commencement on Front Campus

Final Formation is a time-honored tradition. During this last formation for the 136th Missouri Military Academy Corps of Cadets, the corps will assemble in a military review fashion to recognize graduating seniors and the 2024-25 cadet officers. Key moments to watch for during the formation include the following:

  • The corps will form between Charlie and Delta barracks, then march onto front campus as the band plays.
  • Cadet officers will be called front and center, where they will greet each other and extend their best wishes for the future.
  • The designated cadet religious assistant will ring the Memorial Chapel bell three times, a signal that cadets in the ranks may now greet each other and bid their MMA brothers "au revoir" (good-bye until we meet again).
  • The corps is then called back to attention, and each company gives their company motto for the last time.
  • With the ceremonial passing of the Davison Saber, the current cadet leadership will pass on the responsibility of leading the corps to the next year's cadet leadership.
  • The Final Formation will end with the colors being lowered for the last time as buglers, stationed at Stribling Hall and Echo barracks, play "Echo Taps."

In case of inclement weather, Final Formation will be held in the Alain M. Garcia Almada '06 Field House.
