2020 Valentine's Family Weekend

5:30 p.m. 
Attendance is mandatory for all basketball players. A bus will be provided for cadets in good standing who wish to attend.

Parents are invited to attend each class. Teachers will have copies of their syllabus for visitors.
 
1st Period class in Barnard Hall
8:05 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.    
 
2nd Period class in Barnard Hall
8:55 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.
 
Seminar in Barnard Hall
9:45 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. Will be held in 4th period classrooms.
During Seminar, cadets fulfill Silent Sustained Reading as part of reading and writing curriculum, complete missing assignments, and work on ACT/SAT preparation and college and career guidance interviews.
 
3rd Period class in Barnard Hall
10:10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.
 
4th Period class in Barnard Hall
11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.  
 
Cadet/Parent Lunch in Dining Hall
11:50 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
 
Parent-Teacher Conferences in Barnard Hall
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
Parent-teacher conference times must be scheduled in advance online. The online sign-up form will be made available two weeks prior to Valentine Weekend. Please note: cadets will not attend parent-teacher conferences, but instead will participate in mandatory preparation and practice with the commandant for Valentine Weekend events.  
 
Parents Committee meeting in Dining Hall
1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
All parents are invited to attend to learn about the Parents Committee plans for upcoming events and how to get involved. If you have parent-teacher conferences during this hour, please drop in as you are able.
 
Cadet Check out 
4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 
Cadets may check out with their parents for the evening but must return by 9:00 p.m. Overnights are not permitted.

8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Passing Through Ceremony and Review in Alain M. Garcia Fieldhouse 
10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Parents of new cadets invited to present hat brass to them.
 
Cadet Check out 
12:00 p.m.
Cadets may check out with their parents. Overnights approved for cadets not attending Valentine Ball. Cadets attending the Valentine Ball must report back by 5:00 p.m. 
 
Valentine Ball Dinner & Dance in Centennial Gymtorium
6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 
All cadets, their dates and their families are welcome to attend. Attendance is mandatory for all cadet officers and junior class officers. Detailed information and costs will be posted on the MMA website approximately six weeks in advance. Advance reservations for the dinner portions of these events are required. No ticket refunds will be given for cancellations less than one week from an event.
