Parents are a vital part of our team!

Each year, the Parents Committee plays a vital role in supporting the corps and the Academy. All MMA parents and guardians are automatically members of the committee, led by four selected parent leaders (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer) who coordinate the committee’s activities with MMA.

Parents who choose to be active in the committee plan activities and surprises throughout the entire school year, including holiday parties, such as for Halloween, Valentine’s Day, Easter and Christmas; special events, such as Homecoming and our annual Maroon & Gold Gala; plus other celebrations for our cadets, such as the Super Bowl party and St. Nick Night.

The MMA Parent Liaison Team serves as a resource and helps facilitate the activities that the Parents Committee undertake to support the corps. The members of this committee are from key areas across campus to help provide comprehensive support.

The MMA Parent Liaison Team members are as follows:

The Parents Committee and Parent Liaison Team will meet via Zoom monthly to discuss planning for our regularly scheduled events.

Volunteer Opportunities

Parents can become involved with the Parents Committee in a variety of ways, whether formally or informally. Watch the MMA e-newsletter for announcements about upcoming activities, and keep the following opportunities in mind:

Barracks Parents. These parents volunteer to coordinate parties and fundraisers in each company. Please email advancement@missourimilitaryacademy.com to inquire about our Barracks Parents. We can always use your help!

New Family Support. The thought of sending your son to boarding school can be intimidating, but our Parents Committee members know what you're going through. Contact your Admissions rep to get the names of parent volunteers who can talk you through this life changing experience.

Maroon & Gold. MMA's annual fundraiser dinner and auction is always in late March or early April. We always need auction donations and sponsors, so contact MMA's Development Office to ask how you can help.
