Parents are a vital part of our team!

The Parents Committee is a group of parent volunteers who work very hard to provide fun social outlets for the cadets. They plan many activities and surprises throughout the entire school year.

To fund these extra activities the committee sells Thinking Of You (T.o.Y.) boxes that are delivered once every month. These boxes include a variety of items such as snacks, supplies, and other fun things. This fundraiser began in 2012 and by the end of the year the majority of our cadets were receiving a box every month. The cadets really enjoy these special treats and we hope you will consider purchasing them for your son.

The T.o.Y. boxes are $10.00 per month and you can order yours by downloading and completing our ToY Box Order Form (you can also download the PDF here and return it to Cassandra Brooks). By supporting this fundraiser you are not only giving your son a treasure box filled with goodies each month, you are also helping to fund many activities that will benefit your son throughout the school year!

Volunteer Opportunities

Parents can become involved with the Parents Committee in a variety of ways, whether formally or informally. Watch the MMA e-newsletter for announcements about upcoming activities, and keep the following opportunities in mind:

Barracks Parents. These parents volunteer to coordinate parties and fundraisers in each company. Contact the Parents Committee Team Leader Erin Schreyer at erin@erinschreyer.com to inquire about our Barracks Parents. They can always use your help!

New Family Support. The thought of sending your son to boarding school can be intimidating, but our Parents Committee members know what you're going through. Contact your Admissions rep to get the names of parent volunteers who can talk you through this life changing experience.

Maroon & Gold. MMA's annual fundraiser dinner and auction is always in late March or early April. We always need auction donations and sponsors, so contact Cassandra Brooks in MMA's Development Office to ask how you can help.

Join our Parents 2022-23 Facebook group.

Only for family members for current cadets, this private group will help you stay informed about cadet activities and develop connections with other MMA families!
