On November 21, 2019, a group of cadets visited the University of Missouri-Columbia for a classical music concert that featured works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Margaret Bonds. At the concert, the cadets witnessed the talents of MMA Music Instructor Freddie Lomas, and had the opportunity to meet with Conductor Dr. Paul Crabb.

On November 13, a group of interested cadets enjoyed a trip to Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri to enjoy a pizza dinner and a jazz concert by Pedrito Martinez Group, who is a part of the “We Always Swing” Jazz Series.
MMA parents, alumni and friends of the Academy can show their MMA pride on their Christmas trees! These beautiful, one-of-a-kind brass ornaments depict a three-dimensional image of Stribling Hall.
Celebrating the holidays through the voices of MMA cadets and faculty members, MMA's 78th Annual Evensong will be held at Mexico United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 7 at 6 p.m. Following the celebration, cadets and their families are invited back to MMA’s campus to enjoy holiday parties in each company’s recreation room.
On December 3, MMA will kick off the 2019-20 Annual Campaign — “Every Year, Every Cadet Stronger” — on Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving where millions pay it forward to support the causes that matter to them. On Giving Tuesday, MMA is asking for your support for our cadets and the Academy. Will you make a gift or a pledge and make a positive difference?
Their third win in a row, Missouri Military Academy defeated Marion AJROTC 965 to 900 last week in the National Air Rifle League, bringing their current record to a strong 4 - 1. Next up, they will compete against Pelahatchie AJROTC from Pelahatchie, MS, who currently has a 3 - 3 record.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, Cadets Victor Patino and Ruhan Chowrira traveled to Moberly, Mo., to audition for district concert band competition, accompanied by MMA Fine Arts Department Chair Rob McGrath and Band Instructor Freddie Lomas.

Shooting their highest score of the season Missouri Military Academy (3-1 record) defeated West AJROTC (2-2 record) 980 to 901 last week in the National Air Rifle League.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program has selected Missouri Military Academy to serve as the 2020 host for the CMP Air Rifle Missouri State Championship. MMA will hold the competition January 17-18, 2020.
MMA’s Honor Guard, one of the most serious and meaningful cadet groups at the Academy, performs military honors at funerals for military veterans, or during military veteran demonstrations, such as the Veterans Day. MMA is proud to announce the new members of the 2019-20 Honor Guard.
MMA hosted a Well Done Celebration on Thursday, October 17, 2019 to congratulate cadets on the completion of their mid-term exams and to recognize the hard work they did in preparation for them.
Shooting their highest score of the season, Missouri Military Academy’s rifle team defeated New Bern NJROTC 954 to 857 at the National Air Rifle League last week, bringing their Orion League Postal record to 2-1.

Congrats to the MMA Rifle Team for its recent successes, most recently at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Sectional and the National Qualifier. Among contestants at the former, two of MMA's teams placed in the top five, and four of MMA's firers have qualified to compete at Camp Perry, Ohio, as part of a team at Nationals.
MMA parents Rob and Katherine English donated to MMA's new baseball program far before the season started, establishing a legacy for their family and the Academy.

Nearly 30 cadets and more than 20 elementary school students from the Mexico Public School system gathered December 14 in the MMA library for a Lunch Buddy holiday party.
The Missouri Football Coaches Association (MFCA) has announced their All-District Picks for the 2018 season. Four Missouri Military Academy Colonel Football players received honors, as voted by MFCA members.
Thanks to the efforts of Chris Schafer ’89, Missouri Military Academy alum and graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), rising junior and senior MMA cadets interested in the STEM field will have the opportunity to attend the Introduction to Engineering Summer Camp at Missouri S&T in summer 2019. Schafer has arranged for Missouri S&T to hold nine spots for MMA cadets (three in each of the camp’s weeks: June 9-13, June 23-27, July 7-11). In addition, he and his wife, Jeni, will sponsor two cadets for the camp through a financial donation to the Academy.
Academic honor society at MMA gains new members while three existing members take on officer roles
The MMA Raider Team has made the Academy proud with its successes so far this season. With five Raider competitions down, our Raider cadets will show what they’re made of in their last event of the season: the MMA Invitational in April.
MMA is partnering with Tutors Across America to provide a discounted ACT/SAT Weekend Boot Camp in February 2019 to help students maximize their test performance.
Four cadets and Maj. Larry McClarey took part in the fifth annual event, organized with the help of MMA alumnus Paul Barum '62, on Oct. 26.

Cadets from Missouri Military Academy were filled with the spirit of giving this holiday season when they donated over 8,000 cans of food to the Mexico Help Center and ACCIS crisis intervention services Wednesday morning.

Edward Cha, MMA Class of 2018, has been awarded a National Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) Marine Option Scholarship.

On Friday, September 23, more than 330 alumni, parents, donors and community members converged on campus to celebrate Homecoming 2016.
On August 26, MAJ Mike Pemberton’s biology students gathered on the front lawn for his annual study of trees at the Academy. As he lectured, cadets wove from tree to tree, scribbling notes, studying bark and sketching leaves.
Escorted by Missouri Military Academy staffers Rhonda Blaue, MAJ Edsel Baker and Dr. James Bonanno, seventeen students visited Italy in mid-March. The program, which was coordinated by Worldstrides International Discovery Programs, began March 13 with an overnight flight to Italy.
