MMA Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer Yelton has joined the staff of Missouri Military Academy as the chief financial officer. Yelton comes to the private, college preparatory, all-boys military boarding school from Westminster College in Fulton, where she has served as associate vice president for business and controller since 2017.

Leadership Mexico 2024 stands on steps of Stribling Hall

On Tuesday, March 19, the 2024 Leadership Mexico class visited Missouri Military Academy as part of their mission to learn about top Mexico, Missouri employers and organizations. A Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce program, Leadership Mexico provides personal development and an avenue for community participation for its members.

Missouri Military Academy Cadet Mason Brooks Achieves Eagle Scout Rank

Missouri Military Academy Cadet Mason Brooks ’25 from Henrietta, Texas, has achieved the status of Eagle Scout, marking a significant milestone in his scouting journey. For his Eagle Scout project, Cadet Brooks addressed a pressing need on MMA's campus by installing trail markers on the back campus, enhancing navigation in challenging areas.

5th and 13th Place at State Wrestling for Cadets Griffiths and Miles!

Missouri Military Academy Cadet Trae Griffiths ’26 from Champaign, Illinois, and Cadet Ryan Miles ’25 from Dallas, Texas, competed at the Class 1 state wrestling championship February 21-22 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri. The cadets were the first two state qualifiers from MMA since 2021. Cadet Griffiths medaled by finishing fifth in the 157-pound weight class, and Cadet Miles placed thirteenth in the 150-pound weight class. 

MMA Leadership Attends Association of American Colleges and Schools of the United States 2024 Conference

Missouri Military Academy President Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret); Board of Trustees members Chris Gentry, MMA Class of 1988; and Jim Obenshain, MMA Class of 1986; and four members of the MMA leadership team recently attended the annual conference of the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS). Held February 18-21, 2024, in Alexandria, Virginia, the conference brought together heads of school, deans, commandants, chief financial officers, marketing and admissions representatives, and other key staff members from 36 military schools and colleges in the United States and Canada.

President Geraci Selected as Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States Executive Committee President

Missouri Military Academy President Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret) has been selected as the 2024-25 president of the Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) executive committee. In this role, President Geraci is responsible for setting the Association’s priorities for the upcoming year. He leads the 9-member Executive Committee’s efforts to support the Association’s member colleges and schools and the 20,000 cadets they represent.

New Cadets Complete Spring 2024 Crucible

Scout Troop 1889 Cadets Joiner and Miller Attend Weeklong Camp at Lake of the Ozarks

Two Missouri Military Academy Troop 1889 scouts, Cadets Joiner and Miller, attended a weeklong scout camp at Lake of the Ozarks, where they worked on obtaining a variety of merit badges including blacksmithing, plumbing, welding, rifle and archery. The cadets were awarded at the camp for their leadership skills, receiving the titles of camp senior patrol leader and patrol leader. 

2022-23 in Review: Top 10 MMA Highlights

From a national championship to more than $5.2 million in college scholarships offered to the Class of 2023, the 2022-23 academic year included significant achievements for the 134th Missouri Military Academy Corps of Cadets.

Missouri Military Academy president addresses the commandant staff

Missouri Military Academy conducted commandant staff training on campus June 5-9, 2023. Conducted each year to educate commandant staff on the best practices for supporting cadets and to provide key safety education and certification, the training emphasized safety, security, leadership, the Academy's mission and history, and the staff's role in implementing MMA's military educational model based on structure, self-discipline, and accountability.

Missouri Military Academy assistant dean for instruction and learning Ranae Clement

Missouri Military Academy has named Elizabeth “Ranae” Clement as assistant dean for instruction and learning. Clement, an English instructor who joined the faculty of the private all-male school last fall, assumed her new duties at the end of May. She replaces Dale Land as the Academy’s assistant academic dean.

Cadet Gabriel Ontiveros, a Missouri Military Academy junior from Monterrey, Mexico, competed in the Class 2 Missouri state 2023 golf tournament at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri, in May. Although he missed the all-state cut, he finished 20th out of approximately 80 golfers with a score of 171.
