Communication FAQs

In addition to meeting other families during family weekends (such as Fall Family Weekend, Valentine Weekend, Spring Family Weekend, etc.), you can also connect with MMA parents online via social media. 

This private group is for parents and guardians of cadets who belong to the the current year MMA Corps of Cadets. Through this group, you can connect with other parents, ask questions, share tips and insight on how to best support your cadet at MMA, receive reminders about upcoming events and more. This page is managed by both the Academy and the MMA Parents Committee. Every parent with a young man in the MMA Corps of Cadets is a member of the Parents Committee.

Please note: To maintain privacy for families, only parents or guardians who are authorized emergency contacts for your cadet will be approved for group membership. Please encourage other family members to follow our main Facebook page.

Via Remind, a free text messaging app, family members and guardians of MMA cadets can now sign up to receive academy updates via push notifications on your smartphone or via text message.

When you opt in, you will receive alerts about severe weather, special events, furloughs, important news and more.

Opt-in instructions are as follows: 

1. Open a web browser on your iPhone or Android phone and click on the following URL: (link coming soon)
2. Download the app and follow the instructions to sign up. You will need a name, phone number and email address. 

Please opt-in for the 2025-26 academic year via the link above. Each year, the link (and messaging group) will change.

MMA posts regular updates, as well as photos and news updates of cadet activities and achievements, on our social media pages. Please connect with our social media channels to see these daily updates:

We also regularly post photo albums on our Flickr page, where parents can search for and download high-resolution photos for free.

Whether you think you may have overlooked one of our emails or just want to look back to reference one, MMA has made it easy to review all previous emails online in our Communications Archive — located in the Parents section of MMA's website. 

Click the links within the Communications Archive to view previous messages sent. The date in parenthesis, next to the message title, is the date the email was sent to families.

To ensure your email provider does not filter our communications to your spam folder, please add MMA to your email address book. You can also mark our communications as "trusted" or "safe." 

If you're ever concerned that you are no longer receiving emails from MMA, please contact marketing@missourimilitaryacademy.com so we may investigate the issue. 

You may reach the commandant's office during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central) at 573-581-1776, ext. 521. After business hours, please reach the company leadership advisor (CLA) for your cadet's barracks.
