Resume-Building Summer Camps

Missouri Military Academy offers several summer camp options, including a Summer Academy where cadets can earn high school credit in various subjects, while also enjoying MMA's expansive amenities and fun activities.

For cadets who have a focused interest in certain subjects they plan to build a career in — such as engineering, business or fine art — summer camp opportunities through a college or university may be a better choice for them.

Below are a few suggested summer camp opportunities cadets may be interested in taking advantage of to build their college or career resumes... 

Missouri S&T Jackling Introduction to Engineering

During Jackling Introduction to Engineering, you'll be introduced to a variety of engineering fields with demonstrations and activities related to each discipline. You will learn about what engineers do, what tools they use and how the various engineering fields affect everyday life. Engineering and science groups will present brief overviews of their areas of focus and the exciting technological challenges on which their graduates work. Choose from a suite of activities each afternoon that will include interactive workshops and problems that may include software development, aerospace testing and problem-solving, exploration of state-of-the-art engineering materials breakthroughs, and the process of product development and testing.

Missouri S&T Art of Science Camp

Campers will investigate the natural wonders to be found in the Ozarks and explain their findings through writing, photography and multimedia art. Working independently and as part of a team, campers will learn about science and then express what they learn in various artistic ways. From bugs and bark, to fungi and flowers, campers will learn to see science in a different way, as well as expand their ideas of what art can be.

Missouri S&T Nuclear Engineering Camp

If you are interested in nuclear engineering, this one-week summer program will introduce you to the fascinating world of nuclear power and the outstanding opportunities in nuclear engineering.

St. Louis University's Adventures in Medicine and Science (AIMS)

AIMS is an outreach program of Saint Louis University that combines hands-on programs, auditorium presentations and distance learning to bring lessons of anatomy and science to life for students across the country and the world.

Brigantines Canada Sailing Camp

Our program is an immersive outdoor adventure that inspires participants through the engaging and exciting experience of sailing on an authentic Tall Ship!   Talk with Mr. Roundey for details about the summers he spent with this group.

Missouri Boys State

The American Legion Boys State is a summer leadership and citizenship programs for high school juniors, which focus on exploring the mechanics of American government and politics. Open to students between their junior and senior year. Information about this program will be shared with juniors in the fall.
