Victory on the Mat: Two MMA Wrestling Cadets Head to State Finals

Two Missouri Military Academy cadets qualified for the state wrestling competition after competing at districts on Saturday, February 17. Cadet Trae Griffiths ’26 from Champaign, Illinois, placed third in the 157-pound division, and Cadet Ryan Miles ’25 from Dallas, Texas, placed fourth in the 150-pound division. MMA competed in the class 1 district 3 bracket at Marceline.

The cadet-athletes competed against over 220 wrestlers for a spot in the state competition. They will compete at state February 21-222 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, Missouri. Tickets are only available digitally. Click the "Ticket Information" on the web page linked here to buy your passes.

Missouri Military Academy chaplain stands near pews in Memorial Chapel

Captain Clifford Latting, USA (Ret), was named Missouri Military Academy chaplain in December 2024. Latting is currently pursuing a Master of Applied Theology and plans to complete a Master of Divinity at Midwestern Seminary. He has participated in ministry mission trips to Chiang Mai, Thailand; Myanmar (Burma) and Chiapas, Mexico.
