Sophomore Cadet Trey Burle Caps Record-Breaking Season with Two Top-15 Finishes at State

Missouri Military Academy sophomore Cadet Trey Burle from Mexico, Missouri, completed an impressive season with two top-15 finishes at the MSHSAA Class 1 State Swimming Championships, earning personal records in both of his events — the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard breaststroke.

During the two-day state competition held on November 13–14, Cadet Burle delivered standout performances. He placed 13th in the 200 individual medley, clocking a 2:02.57, and finished 15th in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:01.92 — both marking significant lifetime bests.

He qualified for state after his performance at MMA’s home meet on October 28, where he shattered two MMA records. Cadet Burle set a new standard in the 200 IM with a time of 2:20.34, surpassing the 2023 record of 2:20.88, and broke the 100 breaststroke record with a 1:11.70, beating the 2022 mark of 1:12.30.
