Three MMA Cadets Named to 2022 All-Missouri Independent Football Team

Three Missouri Military Academy cadets have been named to the 2022 All-Missouri Independent football team. Featured photo above (left to right): Coach Robert Rosenbaum, Cadet Gabriel Canonico, Cadet Seydina Issa Diop, Cadet Brett Miles and MMA President Richard V. Geraci. 

Cadet Brett Miles, a senior defensive lineman from Dallas, Texas, is the sole Colonels representative on the All-Missouri Independent defensive team.

Two cadets made the All-Missouri Independent offense — Cadets Seydina Issa Diop and Gabriel Canonico. 

Cadet Diop, offensive lineman, is a sophomore from Southaven, Mississippi.

Cadet Seydina Issa Diop, #50

Cadet Canonico, a senior from Falls City, Nebraska, was named to the offensive team as an athlete. A valuable role for football teams, the ATH position is for players with exceptional athletic abilities who can play multiple positions. Canonico is one of only two in players named to this position for the 2022 team.
