Special Orders Issued 13 May 2022: International Relations, Fellowship and Greatest Improvement Awards

The following special orders were issued by the commandant on 13 May 2022.


Special Order No. 56

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Dean with the Approval of the President for the Missouri Military Academy, Cadet Noah Garcia of Palm Harbor, Florida has been awarded The Paul Petit Award for being the most improved international relations in middle school.

Special Order No. 57

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Dean with the Approval of the President for the Missouri Military Academy, Cadet Hector Gonzalez, Jr. of Allende N.L., Mexico has been awarded The Paul Petit Award for being the most improved international relations in middle school.

Special Order No. 58

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Dean with the Approval of the President for the Missouri Military Academy, Cadet Kamil Sanchez De Ovando Perez of Ciudad De Mexico, Mexico has been awarded The Petit Fellowship Cup for having the best fellowship ranking for the entire 2021-2022 academic year.

These awards are named after Paul Petit, who attended Missouri Military Academy from 1979-1982 and is currently an admissions recruiter. 


Special Order No. 58

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Dean with the Approval of the President for the Missouri Military Academy, Cadet Preston Vo of Allen, Texas has been awarded The Richard White Plaque for showing the greatest all-around improvement since enrollment for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Richard White attended Missouri Military Academy from 1946-1947 and donated over $250,000 in support of MMA. His generosity funded improvements in Barnard Hall Library and Bravo Barracks and provided funds for technology, entertainment, rec room activities and middle school programs and more.

Missouri Military Academy Summer Academy class

Missouri Military Academy-sponsored summer programs kicked off Monday, June 20 with the arrival of boys in grades 7-12 for MMA Summer Academy, an academic-focused summer program. Local businesses and residents should expect extra visitors in town throughout the summer as families drop off and pick up their boys for MMA summer activities.
