Two graduates from the Missouri Military Academy’s Class of 2025 — Mason Brooks (Henrietta, Texas) and Aidan Maristany-Diaz (Jupiter, Florida) — have been awarded 3-year Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships, which will support their college education and prepare them for service as military officers. Brooks, who served as the battalion commander of the 136th Corps of Cadets, will attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. Known for its rigorous admissions process, with an acceptance rate of just 12%, West Point is one of the most prestigious military academies in the country. Cadet Brooks plans to major in economics.

Maristany-Diaz will attend Norwich University, the oldest private military college in the U.S., where he intends to study cybersecurity and computer science. In addition to his Army ROTC scholarship, he has been awarded the General ID White Scholarship, which covers room and board for the duration of his ROTC scholarship, as well as the Alden Partridge Scholarship, which covers the full cost of his first year.
The ROTC scholarships cover full tuition and mandatory fees, though they do not include room and board. In return, recipients commit to enrolling in their college’s ROTC program, participating in military training courses and summer sessions and serving as commissioned officers after graduation.
Congratulations to Brooks and Maristany-Diaz on their accomplishments and bright futures ahead!
