Noteworthy Alumni in the Field of Strategic Leadership: Gilberto Crombé ‘89

 

After graduating from Missouri Military Academy (MMA) in 1989, Crombé went on to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. He also completed the EO Leadership Academy and Entrepreneurial Master’s Program (EMP).  

Through EO, Crombé provides consulting services to leaders of other businesses, so they can find the freedom he has achieved in his own businesses. In an interview with Players of LifeCrombé explains his leadership training begins with perspective: 

"My purpose is to create freedom in the company, starting with its leaders, investors and executives through the clarity of why they get up in the morning,” he said. “If I can make [them] go to work and we are all going to achieve an objective, a goal or fulfill a promise, it would be more passionate, professional world.”  

At EO, Crombé has had the opportunity to meet with leaders in dozens of countries, including Qatar, India, Australia and Germany among others. As the founder and CEO of MultiLam, a wholesale distributor, Crombé has established businesses in Central and South America, expanding his international influence to Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru and more.  

Crombé also plays a major role in supporting EO’s Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards (GSEA), having introduced the program to seven new countries since inception. Additionally, he assists in launching the annual EO Global Leadership Conference (GLC), which recognizes the importance of collaboration in achieving global growth and organizational excellence, among other EO initiatives, programs and events. 

“A big part of our focus this year centers on teamwork; specifically, a synergistic approach fueled by inclusion, clarity and accountability,” Crombé said in regards to the EO Global Leadership Conference. “As the African proverb states: ‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’” 

Previously, Crombé served as EO’s education chair, international liaison and mentorship chair for EO Monterrey, as well as regional director and strategic alliances director.
