MMA Cadets Attend 12th Annual Chinese Dumpling Festival

A group of MMA cadets and faculty attended the 12th annual Chinese Dumpling Festival, hosted by the Columbia Friends of China (CFC), on Nov. 10. The trip was organized by MMA Foreign Language Department Chair Wei-Yun Chien, and all cadets were invited to sign up for the event if desired.

The group of cadets, accompanied by faculty members James Garrett, Cheryl Morris, Michelle Camargo, CPT Kip Jacobson and Chien, enjoyed a seven-course, family-style meal, which included dumplings, appetizers, meat and vegetable entrees and dessert. Attendees also enjoyed live music, activities and cultural presentations.

The CFC is a community-wide nonprofit organization that promotes educational, economic and cultural relations between Columbia, Missouri and Laoshan, China. The festival returned to Columbia this month after a three-year hiatus.
