MMA Athletic Hall of Fame: Tony Serna '04

Tony Serna was an all-state athlete during the five years he spent as a cadet at Missouri Military Academy. Known for his determination and leadership, Tony thrived in all facets of the MMA experience.

His many activities included Boy Scouts, Cadet Council and JROTC. He was a member of Delta Phi and the Provost Marshall S-2 for the MPs — or Auxiliary Patrol as we know it today. A member of M Club for four years, he served as president his senior year, a fitting post for the captain of the varsity football, track and wrestling teams.

Tony shone in the athletic arena. He received the Arbogast Award and the Keaton Award multiple times as the Colonels’ best wrestler. A three-time state qualifying wrestler, Tony took fourth place in Class 1 at the 2004 Missouri state wrestling tournament his senior year.

For Tony’s dedication to his many clubs and teams, for the records he broke and those he holds, and for the example he continues to be, we are honored to induct Tony Serna, Class of 2004, into the 2023 Missouri Military Academy Athletic Hall of Fame.
