MMA Announces New Honor Guard Members

MMA’s Honor Guard, one of the most serious and meaningful cadet groups at the Academy, performs military honors at funerals for military veterans, or during military veteran demonstrations, such as the Veterans Day.

Following time-honored tradition, MMA’s Honor Guard performs a great public service in communities by honoring service members and brings great pride to the Academy and corps of cadets. By donning Honor Guard uniforms, members stand out among the other cadets as being some of the most respectful and disciplined young men in the corps.

MMA is proud to congratulate the following cadets who were selected to be members of the 2019-20 Honor Guard.

  • William English, Commander
  • John Murphy, Alternate Commander

new cadet moves in to Missouri Military Academy

Structure, self-discipline and accountability are standards of the MMA experience. For the Academy’s 132nd corps of cadets reporting to campus this fall, these standards — upheld via mandatory mask wearing, cleaning, personal hygiene and other layers of COVID-19 risk mitigation — will be expected with heightened awareness of personal and social responsibility during the global pandemic. Between 180 and 210 cadets in grades 7 to 12, plus post-grad year, are expected to join MMA’s corps for on-campus instruction this fall.
