MMA Colonels Fall Athletes Receive All-State, All-District Recognition

Missouri Military Academy (MMA) Colonels junior wide receiver Enrique Padron (Boynton Beach, Florida) was a 3rd team selection on 2020 Missouri Football Coaches Association Class 2 all-state team. Padron finished the season with 20 touchdowns (11 rushing and nine touchdown receptions) and over 2,000 all-purpose yards.  

Scoring seven touchdowns in a single game, he currently ranks fourth all-time in the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) for single game touchdowns and fourth all-time in MSHSAA for total points in a game with 52 against Crystal City on Oct. 16, 2020 (seven touchdowns, plus five two-point conversions). 

Padron completed 118 tackles, five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), 25 tackles for loss, seven forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries. 

In addition to Padron’s all-state recognition, four Colonels football players were named 1st team all-district for their fall 2020 season performance:  

Christopher Bryant (RB/LB, 116 tackles, 2 sacks, 7 touchdowns, and 497 rushing yards) 

Phasakorn Cunningham (OL/DL, 77 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 recovered fumbles)  

Juan Pedro Garduno (OL/DL, 68 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 recovered fumbles)

Missouri Military Academy Showcases Cadet Talent at Maroon & Gold Virtual Fundraiser 

On Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. CST, Missouri Military Academy (MMA) will air a virtual presentation on MMA’s YouTube channel for Maroon & Gold – the Academy’s largest fundraiser of the year. The online event will include an online auction and showcase our cadets and campus with musical performances by MMA cadets, an exhibition performance by the Fusileers Drill Team, highlights of MMA fine arts, and more.

 Missouri Military Academy Cadet Takes First Place in Eastern United States Pipe Band Association Competition 

Cadet Pipe Major Clayton Nelson ’22 was announced winner in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) Ohio Valley Virtual Piping Competition. Through the competition, Nelson won first-place in the  Piobaireachd, 2/4 March, Strathspey and Reel, and 3 Jig, all at grade 3 level. He also took third-place in the 6/8 March.
