Missouri Military Academy Welcomes Alumni to Campus for Nostalgic Leadership Training Experience

The perfect mix of nostalgia, networking, and leadership development – this summer, Missouri Military Academy (MMA) alumni will have the opportunity to learn from retired military, business and community leaders while re-living their cadet experience among their fellow alumni brethren. Scheduled to take place May 21-24, 2023, this immersive four-day experience will re-invigorate participants as leaders and rekindle their desire to make a difference.

"Learning alongside MMA brothers, while sharing cadet memories, will enhance the Alumni Leadership Academy experience, which is centered on MMA's core values," said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Rob Silbaugh. "We look forward to this event being highly impactful and memorable — both fun and inspiring — for our alumni."

The daily schedule will include reveille, flag raising, seminars, group discussion, and back-campus activities such as rappelling, paintball and bonfires in the evening. All meals will be provided, and uniforms will be issued to all participating alumni. Additionally, alumni will have full access to MMA facilities, including basketball, tennis, swimming and weight room during their free time.

Missouri Military Academy COL Tom Pickle

Colonel Tom Pickle, USA (Ret), has joined the staff of Missouri Military Academy (MMA) as the deputy commandant for residential life. Pickle comes to the private, college preparatory, all-boys military boarding school after a 32-year career in the United States Army. Throughout his career, he has exhibited exceptional leadership, planning, program management, and talent management, making significant contributions to the military.
