Missouri Military Academy to Host 2024 College Fair

Missouri Military Academy (MMA) will host a college fair on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Centennial Gymtorium. MMA high school cadets, plus other high school students from the mid-Missouri area, will have the opportunity to evaluate potential colleges side-by-side and develop the key tools necessary for choosing the “right” college.

Each year, MMA cadets achieve 100% graduation and college acceptance rates, and the Class of 2024 was offered more than $4.9 million in college scholarships. The success of MMA cadets is largely due to the Academy’s dedicated college and career planning program, which works closely with cadets before and throughout their senior year to help them plan, apply and prepare for their post-secondary goals.

“The college fair offers valuable learning experiences to our cadets and other area high school students,” says MMA Director of College and Career Placement Cameo Wells. “Students will discover the characteristics they are looking for in a college or university, which will better equip them to evaluate and select their top college choices.”

At the fair, MMA cadets and other high school students can talk directly to college representatives and learn about opportunities available to them in the future. They might also learn about colleges or universities they were previously unaware of, which expands their understanding of the college experiences and the choices available to them.

MMA freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors will attend the fair. Students from area public schools are also welcome to attend. Students, parents and counselors may register for the fair online. Each cadet should receive an email from StriveScan the day after the fair listing the colleges that scanned their phone. This list should contain contact information for the representative at each school, enabling cadets and families to continue the research begun at the MMA College Fair.
