Missouri Military Academy hosted a college fair on September 21, 2023, in Centennial Gymtorium, where MMA high school cadets, as well as other high school students in the mid-Missouri area, had the opportunity to evaluate potential colleges side-by-side and develop the necessary tools for choosing the right college.
Before cadets attended the fair, Director of College and Career Placement Will Roundey advised them: “There are over 3,000 colleges in the United States,” he said. “You may have heard of a couple hundred or so and most likely have good knowledge of less than 50. The fair is an opportunity to talk to reps from over 50 great schools. You might think that some (or many) of the schools will not appeal to you, but the only way to be sure is to talk with the reps and gather information before making that decision.”
Roundey challenged cadets to speak with representatives from each school.
Each year, MMA cadets achieve 100% graduation and college acceptance rates, and the Class of 2023 was offered more than $5.2 million in college scholarships. The success of MMA cadets is largely due to the Academy’s dedicated college and career planning program, which works closely with cadets before and throughout their senior year to help them plan, apply and prepare for their post-secondary goals. The 2023 college fair was a great opportunity for cadets to discover the characteristics they are looking for in a college or university.
