The 2026 Missouri Military Academy Mission Command Camp Graduation and Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, July 10. Campers, families, faculty and staff gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of campers who successfully completed the Academy's Mission Command Camp.
Throughout the session, campers were challenged through activities designed to develop self-confidence, teamwork and a strong sense of pride in themselves and their accomplishments. Through team-building exercises, individual competitions and leadership-focused events, campers strengthened their character while learning the value of perseverance, accountability and collaboration. Each camper also had the opportunity to complete the Mission Command Challenge Course while participating in physical training, obstacle courses, marksmanship safety, rappelling, rock wall climbing, swimming, camping, bushcraft and team sports.
The graduation ceremony recognized campers for their dedication, determination and accomplishments throughout the program, celebrating both their individual growth and the successful completion of Mission Command Camp.
Reflecting on the campers' achievements, MMA Commandant COL Tim Baer, USA (Ret), encouraged them to carry the lessons of camp into their everyday lives.
"Our campers have embraced the lessons, challenges, leadership opportunities and skills learned here, and this group of campers has unlimited potential to succeed in life," COL Baer said. "With this in mind, I challenge each camper to take the lessons learned here and be a leader who has the courage to stand and take positive actions in your life. Always remember to do the right thing, especially when no one is watching."

Mission Command Camp Awards:
Air Rifle Marksmanship Medal
Awarded to the camper who earned the second-highest score during Air Rifle qualification, the Air Rifle Marksmanship Medal was presented to Troy Abadie.
Air Rifle Sharpshooter Medal
Awarded to the camper who earned the highest score during Air Rifle qualification, the Air Rifle Sharpshooter Medal was presented to Reid Kribbs.
Physical Fitness Medal
Awarded to the camper who earned the second-highest score on the Physical Fitness Test, the Physical Fitness Medal was presented to Mason Nall.
Audie Murphy Physical Fitness Award
Awarded to the camper who earned the highest score on the Physical Fitness Test, the Audie Murphy Physical Fitness Award was presented to Miguel Benjan Vega Prieto.
Chesty Puller Challenge Award
Awarded to the camper who outperformed his peers on the Marine Corps Obstacle Course, the Chesty Puller Challenge Award was presented to Jacob Shumaker.
Tactician Medal
Awarded to the camper who demonstrated exceptional leadership, planning, ingenuity, discipline and decisiveness throughout Mission Command Camp, the Tactician Medal was presented to Jacob Shumaker.
MMA Leadership Medal
Awarded to the camper who best exemplified superior leadership, honor, courage and integrity throughout Mission Command Camp, the MMA Leadership Medal was presented to Reid Kribbs.
