Each year at Homecoming, Missouri Military Academy proudly inducts new members into the Alumni Hall of Fame at the Alumni Recognition & Awards Banquet. These honorees have demonstrated exceptional dedication to duty, honor and leadership through their personal and professional achievements, and they serve as shining examples of the MMA spirit.
Members of the Alumni Hall of Fame have shown a strong commitment to duty, honor and achievement. The Hall of Fame is divided into five categories: business, entrepreneurship and leadership; arts and sciences; athletics; community and government service; and distinguished military service.
The following inductees will be honored at the Homecoming Alumni Recognition & Awards Banquet on Saturday, September 28, 2024.
John Josendale, Class of 1972
2024 MMA Hall of Fame for Government and Community Service
After 48 years as a leader in global manufacturing, John currently serves as mayor of St. Joseph, Missouri. John’s community support extends to Children First School, Bishop LeBlond High School, the Pony Express Museum, Family Guidance Center, Gold Bank and the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. Hector Uribe, Class of 1989
2024 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership
In his business career, he has achieved success in real estate development and the hospitality industry. He has also started a nonprofit sailing school for low-income families. Read more about him here.
Oscar Uribe, Class of 1992
2024 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Arts and Science
Oscar leads an award-winning architectural studio designing unique projects that celebrate Méxican culture. The studio is involved and responsive to the community — among other philanthropic efforts, Uribe Architectural Studio provided construction equipment to remove obstacles and search for people under building debris following the 2017 earthquake that hit Mexico City.
