Missouri Military Academy Showcases Cadet Talent at Maroon & Gold Virtual Fundraiser

On Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. CST, Missouri Military Academy (MMA) will air a virtual presentation on MMA’s YouTube channel for Maroon & Gold – the Academy’s largest fundraiser of the year. The online event will include an online auction and showcase our cadets and campus with musical performances by MMA cadets, an exhibition performance by the Fusileers Drill Team, highlights of MMA fine arts, and more.

This year, funds raised through Maroon & Gold will support cadet life and leadership programs – specifically funding for MMA’s baseball field renovation, the equestrian program’s stable renovation, lights for the soccer field, a new bus, and for the unpredictable military competition costs for MMA Fusileers, Raiders and the rifle team.

“I am immensely grateful for the support of Maroon & Gold by our MMA community,” MMA President Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret) said. “Through the commitment of our alumni, families, friends and community partners, we will continue to improve the quality and variety of Academy programs and diverse opportunities that provide a life-changing experience for our cadets.”

Several businesses and alumni have already stepped up to sponsor the fundraiser, including Commerce Trust Company, Missouri Military Academy Board of Trustees Chairman R. Stribling and Janie Koster, SAGE Dining Services, and more. Click here to view 2021 sponsors.

Additionally, alumni and families continue to contribute to the online auction. Recent auction donations include a Chiefs Riddell Speed Eclipse full-size authentic helmet autographed by Patrick Mahomes, star quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs; a 17 Caliber Ruger American Rimfire Rifle and its accompanying 50 rounds of ammo; Hyalogic beauty products and more. The online auction will go live on Monday, April 26, 2021.

Those interested in supporting Maroon & Gold via the online auction or sponsorship support should contact the Administrative Assistant for the VP for Advancement, Kristen Rowe at kristen.rowe@missourimilitaryacademy.com or at 573.581.1776 ext. 427. MMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and therefore contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Missouri Military Academy is an all-male, college preparatory military boarding school with a diverse domestic and international student population. The Academy’s rigorous program empowers young men to reach their potential as future college graduates, citizens of character, and leaders in their communities. MMA’s 360˚ Education fosters academic excellence, a healthy lifestyle and physical development, leadership and life skills, positive character development, and personal motivation.
