On February 19, 2021, cadets in middle school robotics practiced communication in leadership through a tangram puzzle project. Using puzzle pieces, cadets were tasked with recreating a picture by drafting instructions for their peers to follow. With each step, cadets learned they needed to be as specific as possible to recreate the image.
“The tangram puzzle is a challenging task,” said Robotics Instructor Jessica Miller. “Cadets learned that they shouldn't assume someone knows how to do something. When being a leader, they need to be as specific as possible, as well as be ready to break down requests into smaller tasks so they can be completed properly.”
