MMA Recognizes Mark Korman for Sizable Donation

On Thursday, Feb. 13, Missouri Military Academy President Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret), and administrators honored Fluid Power Support chief executive officer and owner Mark Korman with a private dinner at The Oaks Country Club in Mexico. Korman recently donated a sizable amount of equipment, furniture and electronics to the Academy from the assets he purchased from the Audrain Community Hospital which closed in March 2022. If purchased new, the equipment, furniture and electronics are estimated at a value of more than $106,000.

President Geraci thanked Korman and lauded him for the positive example he sets in the Mexico community.

“He is a servant leader and community-minded,” Geraci said. “When we reached out to purchase some of the items, Mark stepped up with a significant gift to support the Academy and our mission.”

Geraci also praised Korman for his leadership, work ethic and values, as well as how he cares for and supports his employees. “Mark just gets things done!” Geraci said.

He cited a few of his favorite Korman quotes, such as “Working is like getting paid to go to school,” and “You don’t know who you are until you get working.”

“Mark’s generous gift enables us to better support our employees, cadets and families, which in turn contributes to our support of the Mexico community,” Geraci said. “Our strength as a community comes from people like Mark, who give and have a vision for what is possible for the citizens of Mexico.”
