Missouri Military Academy (MMA) honored Jarrod Magee '97 with the 2024 Eagle Talon Award during the Alumni Recognition & Awards Banquet on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024. This award recognizes Magee's longstanding dedication of time, talent, and treasure to the Academy. His contributions have significantly impacted the enhancement of the campus and the success of academic and alumni initiatives. Throughout the years, Magee has consistently dedicated his time to MMA, most notably through his service on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
"This recipient is an individual who selflessly gives each week on the board of directors. Without question and hesitation, he is a pillar of the board and has been for many years," said emcee Steve McDavid '97 at the banquet during Homecoming 2024, recognizing Magees' contributions to the MMA Alumni Association and Academy.
In addition to his contributions on the board of directors, Magee has actively improved the Academy’s physical campus. Over the years, he participated in several renovation projects, including work on the Academy houses and other essential campus improvements.
Magee’s contributions extend beyond his time and effort. He consistently provides financial support for key events at the Academy. As a tournament-level sponsor for the annual golf tournament, Magee was a crucial supporter of this event for several years. He also sponsored the alumni luncheon for the past two years, allowing alumni to gather and celebrate their shared experiences. At Homecoming 2024, his fellow alumni had the opportunity to appreciate Magee’s generosity as they enjoyed the dinner prepared with the BBQ smoker donated by a generous contribution from Magee and other MMA alumni.
For his service, generosity, and leadership, Magee is the 2024 recipient of the Eagle Talon Award.
