Honoring Excellence and Achievement: October 2019 All School Assembly

The following Missouri Military Academy cadets, faculty and staff were honored for excellence during the All School Assembly held in Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.


National Honor Society Members

Membership in National Honor Society shall be open to members of the junior and senior classes who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.70 or better.  A student’s cumulative GPA simply makes him eligible for membership consideration.  Members of National Honor Society must also excel in the areas of leadership, character, and service.

National Society of High School Scholars Ambassador

The mission of the National Society of High School Scholars is to recognize academic excellence, and to honor the highest achieving high school students, providing them with the resources and network to excel in college, career and community. Ambassadors spread the word about NSHSS and give scholarship and college preparation advice to current and potential NSHSS members based on their own experiences.

Legacy Cadet

Legacy cadets are cadets who are sons, stepsons, brothers, grandsons, step-grandsons, nephews or cousins of an MMA alum who completed at least one full year as an MMA cadet. At the ceremony, these cadets and their alumni family were recognized and awarded a legacy pin, symbolizing the family’s continued history at MMA.

Bravo Zulu Awards for employees

One of the highest compliments paid in the U.S. naval forces is Bravo Zulu. The combination of the Bravo and Zulu nautical signal flags is a naval signal, typically conveyed by flag hoist or voice radio, meaning "Well Done" with regard to actions, operations or performance.

On December 3, MMA will kick off the 2019-20 Annual Campaign — “Every Year, Every Cadet Stronger” —  on Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving where millions pay it forward to support the causes that matter to them.
