MMA Hall of Fame: Hector Uribe ’89

Hector Uribe traveled from México City to Mexico, Missouri, to attend Missouri Military Academy. He made the most of his two years here. Hector belonged to Delta, Echo and Charlie companies and competed in varsity swimming and tennis. He served as Color Guard commander, graduating from the Academy as a cadet staff sergeant in 1989.

In his business career, he has achieved success in real estate development and the hospitality industry. For these accomplishments, he is inducted into the 2024 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.

Returning to his home country, Hector earned a degree in civil engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from IPADE Business School. He started a family real estate development company Urquin S.A. in Mexico City, working with his father and eventually joined by his brother and fellow MMA alumnus Oscar. In 2016, he served as general partner in México Hospitality Fund. Currently he is managing partner at Urviserv Real Estate Development and Capital Solutions.

Hector indulged his love of adventure when he met a challenge to sail from the Bahamas to New York City. His passion for the sea is evident in the nonprofit sailing school he started for low-income families. It is our honor to recognize Hector’s accomplishments with his induction into the MMA Hall of Fame.
