The Missouri Military Academy Fusileers Drill Team competed in the U.S. Army Cadet Command JROTC Drill Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida, on May 3, 2024. The Fusileers Color Guard finished third in the nation, out of 21 teams competing in the advanced division. The team finished 4th in Armed Exhibition (advanced division). See photos on Flickr.
According to Fusileers coach 1SG Christopher Scarlet, this was a very tough year of competitions.
"Our team faced adversity; however, they continued to battle and never gave up," said Scarlet. "The cadets truly put their hearts into the fight but unfortunately did not come out on top and meet their goal of another national championship. I am very proud of the cadets and what they accomplished this year."
