The 2018-2019 school year was marked by notable achievements from cadets both academically and in extracurricular activities, which continue to reflect the values and discipline instilled at MMA.
The 2018-2019 year saw competitive success for the Fusileers Drill Team, which earned first place at the Association of Military Colleges & Schools of the United States 2019 Annual Drill Competition, outperforming 29 other military schools.
On the Friday of Homecoming weekend, the Colonels soccer team secured a 5-1 victory against Mexico High School. Homecoming took place from September 28-30, 2018.
The MMA Color Guard presented the colors at a St. Louis Cardinals game. Over 200 cadets attended the game where the Cardinals won against the Giants 2-1.
As the academic year came to an end, the Final Formation ceremony took place, where senior cadets prepared to transition to the next stage of their lives. Trumpeter Cadet Zeth Colin performed Echo Taps during the event on MMA’s front campus, marking the conclusion of the year.
Educational opportunities extended beyond the campus, with cadets traveling to New York City and Washington, D.C., where they participated in an educational tour.
Cadets took part in community service, volunteering at the Central Missouri Step-Up for Down Syndrome Walk in October 2018, with the Colonels Drum Line leading participants through the event.
