Football
A season that was thought to be a winning season did not end the way we had hoped. After winning the first game of the season, the football team faltered ending the season 1-9. The Colonels fought hard throughout the season showing great promise for the future. – Coach Anthony Yannielli
Best Running Back Award: Jaden Rogge
Best Lineman Award: Phasakorn Cunningham
Best New Boy: Kuame Ndoumi
Most Improved: Zach Siccardi
Defensive MVP: Enrique Padron
Offensive MVP: Zane Jewell
Team Overall MVP: Jaden Rogge
Swimming
Swimming returned to MMA this year after I had a lot of young men come to practice thinking that there was no way they were going to get better. I was not going to let the cadet give up on himself at the end of the season. I would have loved to give all the cadets a “most improved” award! — Coach Matthias McManus
Most Valuable Swimmer and winner of the Schmoller-Green Trophy: Damien Brown
Most Improved Swimmer: Jingxuan Yan
Best New Boy: Hamish Lindsey
Soccer
Our overall record from the season was 7-13. Overall, the season could have been better. Unfortunately, we were on the wrong end of a lot of close games, but throughout it all the boys showed a lot of heart and character. We lost a lot of strong seniors the previous year and in their absence a lot of newer players stepped up to the plate. We will have a lot of strong players returning for next season, so the potential for a strong team and successful season looks very promising. — Coach Liam Collins
MVP - Mauricio Trevino
Most Improved - Collin Eastman
Best New Boy - Samuel Knerr
Goal of the Season - Robert Abbott
Raiders
The 2020 Raider team started this year with only two veterans of the team. Knowing we had our work cut out for us this year, we worked and grew as a team through several early injuries that set us back a bit. We executed better than expected, averaging 12th of 32 regional teams and 20th overall at Raider Nationals in Molena, Georgia. I'm proud of the effort of our young team and very excited about what holds for the following years! — Coach SFC John Biddle, SFC (Ret), USA
Ultimate Raider Award; Thomas Huckins, Jr.
MVP: Thomas Huckins, Jr.
Most Improved: Francisco Jacquez
Best New Boy Raider: Sun Kit Tsui
Cross Country
The Colonels Cross Country team made much improvement over the course of the running season. This is the first year that we have had enough runners to compete as a team in Missouri State High School Activities Association district competition, and we finished 11th out of 12. Every runner made improvements in their times from the beginning to the end of the season. With continued work over the summer working into Fall 2020, we should see even more drastic decreases in running times. – Coach Katrina Dukes
Most Improved Runner: Alexander Thomas
Most Valuable Runner: Marco Tavarez
Colonel Way Award: Michael Naughton
