Both runners qualified for state after strong performances at the district meet Nov. 1 at Linn High School. Competing in a field of 143 runners, Song placed 21st with a time of 18 minutes, 20 seconds, and Robinson finished 22nd in 18:23.

At the state meet, the cadets continued to show the grit, discipline and determination that define MMA athletes. Out of 172 runners, Song placed 56th in 17:48.5, followed closely by Robinson in 58th at 17:49.1 — strong finishes that capped exceptional senior seasons for both.

“We're proud of our two cadets for giving it their all at the state championship," said MMA Athletic Director Brian Meny. "Great effort and amazing season."
