Members of the MMA Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter assisted with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Columbia, Missouri, on October 4, 2025. This event raises awareness, as well as research money, for the prevention of the disease.

Major Peggy Reynard says six FBLA chapter members unpacked event materials and cases of bottled water for participants. They also helped relocate heavy equipment.

A Color Guard of FBLA members opened the event as they presented the colors during the National Anthem. Cadet Gunnar Ward organized and commanded the Color Guard. “The presentation of the colors on Saturday, in my opinion, went very well. Not only did we get to represent the school, we got to help a very good cause.” Cadet Ward complimented his fellow brothers for putting forth their best foot. He added, “It showed”.

Major Reynard said that the cadets were “excellent and had a great work ethic as well as listened very well to instructions”. She added that the Cadets worked with dedication and respectful realization of the event’s purpose.

There is an event each year at which the MMA FBLA chapter volunteers. Cadet Enkh-Ireedui Altangerel said, “MMA was glad they could lend a helping hand and look forward to next year’s event”.
