One of the standout events for the Class of 1974 was the televised broadcast of the Evensong ceremony by station KCBJ of Columbia, a moment that connected the Academy’s traditions with the broader community. The national energy crisis of the time also made its mark on cadet life, with students participating in energy conservation efforts by turning off lights and lowering thermostats.
