Missouri Military Academy Hosts Employee Health Fair and Benefits Day 2026

Missouri Military Academy employees connected with health, wellness and financial resources during the Academy’s Employee Health Fair and Benefits Day on Aug. 26, 2026.

The special activities gave MMA faculty and staff an opportunity to learn more about their employee benefits, meet with local health and wellness organizations and access resources to support their well-being.

Employees entered to win prizes and picked up giveaways such as bottled water and healthy snacks.

As part of the day, faculty and staff attended benefits presentations to learn about MMA’s new benefit plans and the start of open enrollment, the annual period when employees can review, select or make changes to their benefits for the coming year. Representatives from MMA’s benefit brokers were available to answer questions and help employees better understand their options. Employees also attended presentations about retirement resources.

The Employee Health Fair, held in the MMA Centennial Gymtorium, brought together several community organizations and service providers. University of Missouri Extension shared information about nutrition and healthy eating, while Commerce Bank provided financial wellness resources through its MyMilestones program.

Arthur Center Community Health offered primary care screenings, including blood pressure and BMI checks, along with information about mental health and dental resources.

The Academy's insurance provider Gallagher shared stress management resources and information about MMA’s new benefit plans. The Audrain County Health Department provided information about skin cancer awareness, sun protection and its in-body scan machine.

Employees also had an opportunity to focus on movement during a stretching class led by the Mexico Area Family YMCA. The session introduced simple stretches employees can use throughout the workday.

Employees enjoyed a little healthy competition to see who could hold a wall sit the longest. Another competition tested strength and endurance in holding a plank pose. Congratulations to Jennifer Allen for winning the wall sit challenge and Traevonne Smith for winning the plank challenge.

To encourage employees to explore the full fair, each participant received a Health Fair Passport to have marked while visiting vendors. Employees could earn additional entries into door prize drawings by visiting each organization, participating in health and wellness challenges and wearing MMA attire.
