MMA Recognizes 2026 Commando Camp Graduates and Award Recipients

The 2026 Missouri Military Academy Commando Camp Graduation and Awards Ceremony was held on Friday, June 19. Campers, families, faculty and staff gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of young men who successfully completed the Academy’s challenging summer leadership program.

Throughout the week-long camp, campers participated in activities designed to build confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership while developing a strong sense of pride in themselves and their accomplishments. From physical training and obstacle courses to rappelling, rock wall climbing, swimming, camping and more, each camper embraced the challenges of Commando Camp and demonstrated personal growth along the way.

The graduation ceremony recognized campers for their dedication, perseverance and achievement during the camp, including successful completion of the Commando Challenge Course and outstanding performance in individual and team activities.

Reflecting on the campers' accomplishments, MMA Commandant COL Tim Baer, USA (Ret), praised their growth and potential.

“These campers have embraced the lessons, challenges, leadership and skills learned here, and I can tell you from personal observation and experience that this group of young men has unlimited potential to succeed in life,” COL Baer said.

Commando Camp Awards

Air Rifle Marksmanship Medal
Awarded to the camper who earned the second-highest score during Air Rifle qualification, the Air Rifle Marksmanship Medal was presented to Reid Kribbs.

Air Rifle Sharpshooter Medal
Awarded to the camper who earned the highest score during Air Rifle qualification, the Air Rifle Sharpshooter Medal was presented to Quinlan Sharp.

Physical Fitness Medal
Awarded to the camper who earned the second-highest score on the Physical Fitness Test, the Physical Fitness Medal was presented to Conner Khoury.

Audie Murphy Physical Fitness Award
Awarded to the camper who earned the highest score on the Physical Fitness Test, the Audie Murphy Physical Fitness Award was presented to Finnean Fredrickson.

Chesty Puller Challenge Award
Awarded to the camper who achieved the highest score on the Marine Corps Combat Fitness Test Course, the Chesty Puller Challenge Award was presented to Sawyer Sampson.

Awarded to the camper who demonstrated exceptional planning, ingenuity, discipline and decisiveness throughout Commando Camp, the Tactician Award was presented to Luke Barbarick.

Marine Obstacle Course Medal
Awarded to the camper who achieved the fastest time on the Marine Corps Obstacle Course, the Marine Obstacle Course Medal was presented to Finnean Fredrickson.

MMA Leadership Medal
Awarded to the camper who best exemplified the core values of leadership, honor, courage and integrity throughout the session, the MMA Leadership Medal was presented to Finnean Fredrickson.

Honor Squad Medallion
Awarded to the squad that achieved the highest cumulative score across all competitive events during Commando Camp, the Honor Squad Medallion was presented to 1st Squad.
