Meet the 2025 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees 

Each year at Homecoming, Missouri Military Academy proudly inducts new members into the Alumni Hall of Fame. These honorees have demonstrated exceptional dedication to duty, honor and leadership through their personal and professional achievements, and they serve as shining examples of the MMA spirit. 

Members of the Alumni Hall of Fame have shown a strong commitment to duty, honor and achievement. The Hall of Fame is divided into five categories: business, entrepreneurship and leadership; arts and sciences; athletics; community and government service; and distinguished military service. 

The following inductees will be honored at the Hall of Fame and Alumni Recognition Banquet on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Scroll down to learn more about each.

CSM Steve McDavid, Class of 1997

2025 MMA Hall of Fame for Distinguished Military Service

CSM Steve McDavid attended Missouri Military Academy from 1993 to 1997. During his time at the Academy, he served as Charlie Company commander, was active in the band and captain of the football, basketball and baseball teams while receiving multiple academic distinctions and awards before graduating in 1997. A decorated U.S. Army Special Forces veteran, his deployments have included five tours in Afghanistan plus several Counter-Narco Terrorism and Joint Combined Exchange Training missions to Central and South America. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor for his actions in combat in 2008. He currently serves as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the Joint Special Operations Medical Training Center, renowned as the gold standard in the world for training military medics. In this position he oversees the preparation and training for all Army Special Forces, Army Ranger, and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment medics, as well as all the Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman assigned to Marines Special Operations Command. For these accomplishments, he is inducted into the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame for Distinguished Military Service


Jeffrey Brummet, Class of 1971

2025 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Athletics

Jeffrey Brummet attended Missouri Military Academy from 1967 to 1971. During his time at MMA, he involved himself in everything he could, active in track and field, boxing, wrestling and the Fusileers drill team. During his senior year, Jeff was the varsity quarterback of the Colonels football team and commander of Band Company, which won the year’s Honor Company award. He received the Jerome Harris Cup, awarded to the cadet with the most soldierly qualities, and held key leadership roles within the corps of cadets. He utilized the discipline he learned at MMA to forge success throughout his adult life, with notable national and world athletic achievements in cowboy mounted shooting, a high-speed sport combining horsemanship and sharpshooting. He won the Senior Men’s 1 Division in 2019 and the Senior Men’s 2 Division in 2020. In 2021, he placed third in the Senior Men’s 3 Division and finished second in the world competition in 2023 and 2024. For these accomplishments, he is inducted into the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame for Athletics.


George Davison, Class of 1968

2025 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership

George Davison attended Missouri Military Academy for eight years, arriving from his hometown of Mercer, Missouri, as a fifth grader. By eighth grade, he was Bravo Company commander in the junior school. MMA honors included Best Drilled Old Boy (junior school), Superior Cadet and Most Versatile Cadet (high school). A four-year member of Delta Phi, he graduated as a cadet captain and band commander in 1968. Admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1980, George is licensed to practice law before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. His legal career has spanned more than four decades as he focused on personal injury, business, probate, estates and legal mediation. For these accomplishments, he is inducted into the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame for Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.


Alejandro Torres, Class of 1967

2025 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership

Alejandro J. “Ali” Torres Bueno attended Missouri Military Academy from 1963 to 1967 where he was active in boxing, wrestling, tennis, rifle team and Fusileers. The 1967 edition of Taps credited Alejandro as “one of the best soccer players the school has ever seen.” As an accomplished businessman and certified flight instructor, Alejandro has had a positive effect on hundreds of people and the Venezuelan economy. He is the only foreign national since 1988 to receive all seven of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s certified flight instructor designations and only the eleventh pilot in history to do so. Alejandro has forged a successful life as an entrepreneur, team builder and leader. For these accomplishments, he is inducted into the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame for Business, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.


Greg Morton

2025 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame for Outstanding Employee

Greg Morton served Missouri Military Academy as the director for facilities and maintenance for 37 years. Under his leadership, the physical plant of MMA transformed into the modern campus you see today. Three barracks, the academic building, administration building and gymtorium were all built during Greg’s tenure. He also supervised numerous projects on all buildings, always maintaining the highest standards of maintenance. For these accomplishments, he is post-humously inducted into the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame for Outstanding Employee.


Colonel Ronald J. Kelly

2025 MMA Alumni Hall of Fame Outstanding Employee

Colonel Ronald J. Kelly served Missouri Military Academy for 41 years, beginning with his hiring as a biology instructor in 1969 and continuing even past his retirement as MMA’s eighth president. As an instructor, Ron was known for his in-depth coursework and biology labs. In those early years, he also served as an intramural soccer coach, intramural football coach and Alpha Company adviser. In 1975 he became director of admissions. In 1983, Ron became MMA’s executive officer and in 1990 began a term as MMA superintendent. In 1993, the MMA Board of Trustees elected Ron Kelly to succeed Colonel Charles R. Stribling III as president of Missouri Military Academy. Ron served as president until 2007, ushering in a new era of capital improvements and business modernization, and earning the MMA rank of Colonel. For these accomplishments, he is inducted into the Academy’s 2025 Alumni Hall of Fame for Outstanding Employee.
