Families joined cadets for morning classes and learned about opportunities and support for their cadets through the College Triumph Program (dual-credit) and the Arthur Center Community Health partnership. The Academy also celebrated the naming of the McDonald Family Rappel Tower Pavilion.

New cadets were welcomed into the corps during the Passing Through Ceremony, followed by a military review showcasing cadets’ discipline and teamwork.

During this ceremony, families pin their cadet’s MMA hat brass to signify they have completed the requirements of their Maroon Phase—an approximately eight-week training period for new cadets that builds foundational knowledge, skills, and standards for success at MMA. It instills teamwork, motivation, and pride, serving as a rite of passage into the MMA Corps of Cadets.
