2021 Maroon & Gold Fuels Positive Change at the Academy

Event Recap – Maroon & Gold Showcases Cadet Talent

On Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. CST, Missouri Military Academy (MMA) aired a virtual presentation on MMA’s YouTube channel for Maroon & Gold – the Academy’s largest fundraiser of the year. The virtual event included an online auction and showcased musical performances by MMA cadets, an exhibition performance by the Fusileers Drill Team, highlights of MMA fine arts, and more. If you haven’t already, please watch the event video below and share your feedback in our Maroon & Gold satisfaction survey.

As a bonus, this year’s Maroon & Gold presentation also included a highlight of MMA’s campus and cadet life, including interviews with MMA cadets and the president.

Thank You – Your Generosity Matters

This year, Maroon & Gold generated approximately $85,000 (net) for cadet life programs at MMA – over $25,000 more than the Academy’s original goal of $60,000.

Sponsors for Maroon & Gold made an incredible impact with $56,250 in sponsorships. Click here to view 2021 sponsors. Those who contributed virtually added $40,051, including $25,776 through auction purchases and $14,275 in direct donations.

All funds raised will fuel key strategic plan initiatives — improving the baseball field, equestrian stable and soccer field; transportation (with a new bus); and funding unpredictable military competition costs for our Fusileers, Raiders and rifle team; and more. Read MMA’s strategic plan here.

“I am immensely grateful for the support of our MMA community,” MMA President Brigadier General Richard V. Geraci, USA (Ret) said. “Through the commitment of our alumni, families, friends and community partners, we will continue to improve the quality and variety of Academy programs that provide a life-changing experience for our cadets.”
