1. 1st in Nation and 49 Trophies — A Year of Success for the MMA Fusileers

The national competition in Florida — with first and second place finishes — capped off a successful competitive year for the MMA Fusileers. The drill team earned a total of 49 trophies, including 20 first place finishes, competing in six contests in Missouri (Ozark, Waynesville, Joplin, Blue Springs), Kansas (Leavenworth) and Daytona, Florida (nationals). 2. Missouri Military Academy receives an "A" — Niche ranks MMA among 2022 best private schools in America.

Missouri Military Academy (MMA) has ranked as a 2022 Best School in Niche.com’s annual ranking. Using rankings based on dozens of public data sets and millions of reviews, Niche creates profiles for schools and universities across the U.S. and assigns each institution an overall grade based on the collected data. MMA earned an A in the 2022 ranking and is ranked 5th in best boarding high schools in Missouri. Read more.

 

3. MMA Celebrates Commencement for 132nd Corps of Cadets – Class of 2021 Earns Nearly $6.5 Million in Scholarships

On May 22, the 132nd Missouri Military Academy Corps of Cadets participated in high school commencement in Centennial Gymtorium on the Academy’s campus in Mexico, Missouri. Fifty cadets earned their diplomas, with 100% achieving college acceptance and the Class of 2021 earning nearly $6.5 million in college scholarships. Read more.

 

4. Record Numbers on Campus for Summer Camps in 2021

5. 1,393 Volunteer Hours in 1 Day: MMA Cadets Participate in 2021 Tyronn Lue Community Day of Service

On Tyronn Lue Community Day of Service in September, MMA's corps of middle school and high school cadets volunteered at local organizations in central Missouri. In that single day, MMA cadets and faculty contributed 1,393 hours to positively impact 16 local organizations. Read more.

 

6. Calvert Baseball Field Renovations Celebrated During Homecoming Softball Game

A homecoming softball game between alumni and cadets took on special meaning as the MMA community gathered at Calvert Baseball Field to celebrate not only the game but also the progress made on Calvert Baseball Field renovations. Read more.

7. Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce Recognizes MMA as E. Warner Williams Excellence in Business Award winner

The Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce recognized Missouri Military Academy as the E. Warner Williams Excellence in Business Award winner at the 2021 Commerce and Industry Dinner. The Academy was chosen for the Excellence in Business Award for its hard work and leadership demonstrated by staying open throughout the COVID pandemic with uninterrupted middle and high school classes and multiple summer camps. 8. MMA Supporters Step Up to Raise $56K+ in Honor of Founders' Day

On Nov. 22, 2021, the 133rd MMA Corps of Cadets celebrated Founders’ Day on campus. As of December 8, MMA alumni, family, faculty, staff and friends have raised more than $56,000 for the Academy in honor of Founders’ Day. Read more.

 

9. Spring 2021 Campus Improvements

From building a new command center for MMA video camera surveillance to a new pergola constructed behind Charlie Barracks, MMA staff has worked hard upgrading the campus. Read more.

10. Missouri Military Academy Announces Long-Term Contract for President Geraci – Ensures Long-Term Leadership and Stability for MMA

Missouri Military Academy’s Board of Trustees is pleased to announce it unanimously approved a new five-year employment contract with Academy President Richard V. Geraci. Brigadier General Geraci, USA (Ret), has led the Academy since February 2019 as the 11th president. Read more.

Scholarship Opportunity for Engineering Summer Camp Available to MMA Cadets

Thanks to a scholarship courtesy of Chris Schafer ’89 – a Missouri Military Academy alum and graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) – select freshmen, sophomore, and junior cadets interested in the STEM field will have the opportunity to attend the Jackling Introduction to Engineering camp for free.
