On December 4, 2020, six MMA cadets were awarded glengarry caps for their achievement in the bagpipe program.
Glengarry caps are a distinctive, traditional headwear worn predominantly by pipers and soldiers from Scottish Regiments. To obtain these distinctive caps, pipers in MMA’s bagpipe program must have progressed through a series of finger exercises, have a sound understanding of theory in bagpipe music and be able to play two pieces of music before progressing onto the Bagpipes.
Congratulations to the following cadet pipers:
- Christopher Chew
- Christopher Dowdy
- Matthew Hamilton
- Gabriel Kaiser
- Zachary Sturgeon
- Adam Swenson
