Hannibal Field Trip Information

Hannibal Field Trip Information

Middle school families,

On Friday, April 8, MMA’s high school cadets will take part in their annual JROTC formal inspection. Due to this event, formal academic classes will not take place, which gives our middle school cadets a unique opportunity to do some experiential learning with a day trip to Hannibal, Missouri.

The day will be packed with exciting learning opportunities. To start, cadets will receive a history lesson about Hannibal from MMA’s own Dr. Ryan Nowlin, middle school history teacher. Once briefed on the impressive and important history, cadets will load the bus, accompanied by teachers and admin, to tour the Mark Twain Cave, visit the souvenir shop, eat lunch in Hannibal, and take a Mark Twain Riverboat Sightseeing Tour down the Mississippi River.

If you would like to send your cadet some additional funds for snacks or small souvenirs, please click here. For "Payment Type," select "Other" and for "Description," please write "Hannibal Field Trip." Please send funds no later than end of the day on Thursday, April 7.

Uniform for the day will be their travel uniform with tennis shoes.
