Fun fact: I was born in Hawaii, and I have been struck by lightning.
Why did you enroll at MMA? I enrolled to develop my leadership skills, to practice discipline and structure and to enhance my career opportunities through MMA’s superior education model.
Why do you now attend MMA? I have been at MMA since I was in seventh grade. I have made good friends and have learned so much since I started. I am looking forward to finishing up at MMA, as I am going to be a senior this upcoming year.
What are your goals after MMA? I want to be a military officer and either become a pilot or work in the field of cybersecurity. I will secure these positions by going to college after MMA.
What is the most important thing you have learned so far at MMA? I have learned to be a fair leader through critical thinking and problem-solving and that cadets (people) have different motivations and goals in life, and tapping into that information helps me motivate them to do what needs to be done.
What advice do you have for new cadets? Listen to your superiors who have “been there,” and life will be easier for you. Being a new cadet is only temporary, and soon you will be experienced.
Is there anything you want other cadets to know about you? I was born in Hawaii, and I moved to Missouri in 2019. The education style changed for me when I enrolled at MMA, which was different from Hawaii’s education system. I have thrived at MMA, becoming a member of Delta Phi, National Honor Society and NSTEM Honor Society. Because I have this perspective and education experience, I believe I will be a well-rounded and fair leader. Aloha!
