JROTC Rifle

Participation in MMA's JROTC rifle program cultivates qualities of discipline, control, and character development among cadets. Our rifle team has a long-standing history of success, with recent cadets consistently achieving recognition at events like the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Sectionals and the JROTC Regional and National Competition. Read about some of their recent success below.

Randall Jacobson, Head Rifle Coach

Each day, I work hard to provide the support cadets need to grow into responsible, respectful, honest young men. I consider it my personal responsibility and honor to help them through the trials and tribulations of life, to develop their character and their motivations, and to guide them as they discover the best path to a bright, successful future.

In addition to being a residential faculty officer, I have served at MMA for over 20 years in the role of JROTC instructor, rifle team coach and golf coach. No matter how I am able to help or teach cadets, I find each day rewarding knowing I have made a positive impact on their lives.

Prior to joining MMA, I served in the United States Army for 24 years. My educational background includes an associate’s degree in construction management, a US Army First Sergeant's course and a US Army Advanced Non-commissioned Officers course.
