Missouri Military Academy welcomed 15 Raiders teams from 12 different schools for an invitational meet on Saturday, April 27, 2019. Of the 15 teams, MMA took 4th overall.
The MMA golf team qualified for the state playoffs with their second place finish at Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) district competition in Wright City, Missouri, on Monday, April 29, 2019.
During the 2019 JROTC Program for Accreditation (JPA), the MMA Corps of Cadets received perfect scores in the Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP), Service Learning Project (SLP), Unit Report, Cadet Portfolios and Instructor Portfolios. With great pride, the Academy maintained our Honor Unit with Distinction designation and gold star.
Turning out early on a brisk March morning before their academic day began, the Fusileers lined up in the MMA field house for practice, standing at attention before a special guest coach. Rob Farnam ’84 surveyed the team of cadets with a critical eye, hoping to use his own Fusileer experience to help them prepare for the JROTC National Drill Competition.
Competing in the Association of Military Colleges & Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) 2019 Annual Drill Competition, the MMA Fusileer Drill Team won first place against 29 other military schools. They will compete at the JROTC National Drill Competitions in Richmond, Virginia on March 28, 2019.
As the Missouri Military Academy (MMA) baseball team warms up for a revival of its program after a 5-year hiatus, alumni and parents are stepping up to show their support for the cadet-athletes and MMA. For Chris Gentry ’88, supporting MMA baseball gives him a double-dose of pride – both as an alumnus and a parent. His son Eric, MMA Class of 2021, will take the field with the Colonels this spring.
On Saturday, February 16, MMA’s wrestling team competed against other talented wrestlers in close competition at the Missouri State High School Wrestling Championship in Columbia, Missouri. They won several matches and finished 36th out of 56 teams overall.
MMA’s rifle team demonstrated incredible skill at the latest home-hosted Branson High School AJROTC Meet and the Fighting Rams Postal in Gainsville, Florida.
MMA’s Fusileers competed at the JROTC drill competition in Waynesville, Missouri, on January 27, 2019. In an impressive show of skill, the team achieved a fourth place win among 22 seasoned competing teams.
