The Missouri Military Academy rifle team took fourth-place team honors at the JROTC Service Championship in Camp Perry, Ohio. The Colonels competed Feb. 14–16 in the sporter class, finishing ahead of 12 Army teams and all 10 of the Air Force teams. With first place finish, Cadet William Baker qualifies for nationals.

As 2019 draws to a close, here’s a look at our most notable stories of the year.
The Missouri Military Academy Rifle team has been qualified to compete in the JROTC Service Championships for the second consecutive year. The rifle team received the official invitation following their strong showing in the national qualifier postal.
The 2019 Missouri Military Academy Fall Sports Banquet was held on October 20 in Barnard Hall to honor our football, swimming, soccer, Raiders, and Cross Country teams. #MMAproud
Their third win in a row, Missouri Military Academy defeated Marion AJROTC 965 to 900 last week in the National Air Rifle League, bringing their current record to a strong 4 - 1. Next up, they will compete against Pelahatchie AJROTC from Pelahatchie, MS, who currently has a 3 - 3 record.
Shooting their highest score of the season Missouri Military Academy (3-1 record) defeated West AJROTC (2-2 record) 980 to 901 last week in the National Air Rifle League.
The Civilian Marksmanship Program has selected Missouri Military Academy to serve as the 2020 host for the CMP Air Rifle Missouri State Championship. MMA will hold the competition January 17-18, 2020.
MMA’s Honor Guard, one of the most serious and meaningful cadet groups at the Academy, performs military honors at funerals for military veterans, or during military veteran demonstrations, such as the Veterans Day. MMA is proud to announce the new members of the 2019-20 Honor Guard.
Shooting their highest score of the season, Missouri Military Academy’s rifle team defeated New Bern NJROTC 954 to 857 at the National Air Rifle League last week, bringing their Orion League Postal record to 2-1.
