Established in 1892, baseball was one of our first athletic programs. Our campus boasts one of the only indoor practice facilities large enough to keep multiple indoor batting cage nets and pitching mounds up all year long.
Tom Roberts, Head Baseball Coach
Coach Roberts brings over 15 years of coaching experience to the Fighting Colonels baseball team, as well as years of professional, competitive playing experience in baseball, basketball, football and golf.
According to Roberts, sports provide an opportunity for cadets to develop a greater sense of integrity through sportsmanship, discipline through practice and confidence through success. Roberts says he hopes to teach cadets this while giving them a greater appreciation for baseball and helping them improve as players.
“Honor and sportsmanship come first,” Roberts said. “I aim to help cadets learn to create clear objectives and goals, and to work hard to achieve them. At the end of the season, cadets will celebrate their success, appreciate the sport and their team, and carry with them the life lessons they have learned.”
