Mike Harding comes to the academy from the Duke of York’s Royal Military School in Dover, England, where he taught English, Drama and Religious Education. Whilst there, he also served as a housemaster and coached rugby and cross-country. Harding also taught English Language and Literature, Drama and Film Studies at St Edmund's Catholic Secondary School, as well as being an ESL instructor at the Stafford House School of English in Canterbury, England.
Before becoming a teacher, Harding served as a Royal Marine Commando from 1979 to 2002, completing his service as a trainer and mentor to British and multinational military and law enforcement units, in preparation for military operations worldwide.
His interests include rugby, long-distance hiking, cycling and exploring the USA.
