Kevin Quinn

Director of Development and Chaplain

Education:

B.S. Public Relations, William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri

Biography:

Kevin Quinn came to lead the MMA development efforts in August of 2015, after more than 30 years of experience in development, alumni relations and planned giving, for non-profits in higher education, senior adult care and care for developmentally disabled adults. These were affiliated primarily with Protestant denominations at the state and national level. He was most-recently Executive Director of Development for Westminster College in Fulton, MO, a four-year, nationally recognized liberal arts college.

A life-long churchman, Quinn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO, along with hours toward the Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He was ordained as a deacon in the Southern Baptist Convention in 1988, and as a licensed and ordained minister in 1994. Quinn has served in every capacity in church work, including numerous stints as Sunday School teacher, church music and choir director, and deacon, and on every conceivable volunteer church committee. He pastored churches in Tennessee, where he was president of the Nashville Baptist Ministers Association, an organization that included 180 churches in the Greater Nashville area, and in Missouri.

Much of Quinn’s secular career has also been connected to church work, having served in public relations, communication and development positions for the United Methodist Church, the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and conventions of the Southern Baptist Church in Tennessee and Missouri. He has been Director of Development for Missouri Military Academy since August, 2015.

Quinn is a native Missourian, but includes Louisiana, Texas (where his two beautiful grandchildren now live) and Tennessee as states he has called home. He and his wife enjoy hiking, travel, the arts, and attending rodeo and equestrian events.
