Cadet Life

Cadet Life

The Corps of Cadets become an extension of a cadet’s family and creates opportunities for friendships that last a lifetime. Our cadet life experience at MMA teaches teamwork, respect, independence and responsibility while providing opportunities for fun and excitement.

Residence Life

Safety is always our first priority at Missouri Military Academy, so we strive to maintain a safe, secure living environment for our students. Cadets are constantly supervised by trained residence life staff on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our secure residence halls are all modern buildings with recreation rooms for cadet relaxation. On weekends, students can hang out in the Canteen, which offers a snack bar, big-screen televisions and a video game room with X-Box.

Cadets share common goals and are encouraged to assist one another in their efforts to succeed. With time, cadets create a brotherhood that will last a lifetime and bridge the gap of geography long after they have graduated from Missouri Military Academy.

Diversity of Cultures

Missouri Military Academy prides itself on creating a truly multicultural learning environment in which young men of different nationalities can come to appreciate their differences and similarities. Throughout our history, cadets have attended from all 50 states and from 30 foreign countries.

At Missouri Military Academy cadets are introduced to a broad spectrum of cultural experiences and encouraged to appreciate what each student brings to the school. International cadets are housed with US students to accelerate English language learning and promote cultural interactions between different groups.

International students who are new to the English language will benefit from our ESL (English as a Second Language) program. These classes help students develop English language comprehension skills and to adapt quickly to their cultural surroundings.

Extracurricular Activities

At MMA, students can participate in a variety of fun and challenging activities. Young men will be exposed to new experiences and challenges in back campus facilities such as our leadership reaction course, our rappelling tower, paintball field and acres of forest for hiking and camping.

On-campus and off-campus activities are offered regularly to give the boys a chance to learn new skills, improve existing skills in a new area, expand their cultural knowledge and have fun.
